Spring Chemicals change for Summer Conditions
Changing weather can mean varying pool conditions and chemical needs. As most of us are finishing up a terrible year for openings and algae growth, our pools need different care.
If you have dumped an unusual amount of liquid chlorine in your pool, the water is still not completely clear, and your CL test is zero, you need more chlorine. Larger doses. Keep your PH down as you go but YES you need more CL. Feels wrong but your pool has an infection.

Automatic Safety Cover Adjustments on Inground Fiberglass Pools
Autocovers are an amazing system to have on a fiberglass pool. They keep the pool safe and secure of course, but for many pool owners the real benefits are the other ones. Pool Winter Safety Covers – Differences between materials and webbing
Winter safety covers are a must in my book. A winter safety cover is the type of cover that looks like a trampoline and will keep kids and critters alike out of the pool during the off season. Recommendations for swimming pool solar covers
If and HOW you're going to heat your pool is a definitely a consideration when you are planning your project. If a heater is in the budget I highly recommend heat pumps. They are by far the best and easiest way to heat your pool. If not many people ask if they should get a solar cover. My answer is no. Though they absolutely work to heat the pool as well as retain heat at night, they have other shortcomings that I think are not worth it.

Do I need a fence around my pool? What if I have a retractable safety cover?
The easy and short answer is...'Sometimes' and or 'It depends' particularly when a safety cover is the proposed barrier. The complication stems from the multitude of building departments, zoning departments, and different guidelines at each. For some homeowners a lack of any governing department at all may actually work in this case to their benefit.
